Se Mo Laoch Seamus Tansey

Post by Mr.Gumby »

TG4 just aired an old Se Mo Laoch. Seamus Tansey.

One to watch.

Up on the player:

Brilliant! Thanks for posting the link. Can someone tell me the name of the reel played before the Galway Rambler (at about 15 min into the show). It common enough but the name escapes me and is driving me nuts!

Thanks,

Steve

Steve, the reel is "Creamer's," or I guess on TheSession it's down as "The Burren:"

Thanks Peter. Seamus was a fine flute player indeed. Interesting to see how often he takes in air when playing. Great tone and phrasing too.

Tell us something.: I’m a tin whistle player and just bought my first flute having spent a lot of time browsing posts on the forum. I wanted to make a post to thank the community for the help and also get more involved in the general conversation.

Great film - thanks. Inspired me to learn a few new tunes as well.
