I'm putting a nice Rudall & Rose flute up for sale - see the listings.
The flute is an 8-key, cocus, smaller-holed R&R from the early 1830s. It plays extremely well with a sweet, easy tone from the low C to at least the third register A. It has been beautifully restored by Jeff Denning & Jon Cornia.
The early english flutes make me think of Regency Era England and the novel Pride and Prejudice. I imagine a young gadabout in Bristol bringing his flutes to a salon in a grand estate to play Beethoven.
