Comhaltas All Ireland Flute Competition Streamed Live

Post by Normski »

Short notice but the O18 All Ireland Flute competition is being streamed live on the Fleadh Cheoil Facebook page and also on TG4 player at 10am Irish time this morning.

If you don't watch live then the programme is available to watch later on the TGplayer, at least that's what they have done with other competitions they have streamed this weekend.

Bound to be good flute playing.

The programme takes a bit of finding.
On the player choose "music" from genre then Fleadh Cheoil 2022 and it's in there with the other fleadh programmes.

Might be able to do a bit of 'archiving' of that for those outside of Ireland.
Alternative would be sign up for a trial of a VPN (just google VPN trial, install software, tell it you're located in Ireland)

Yes also got it on the TnG4 player catch up in England.

Great playing , so happy the the final player was able to get his flute sorted and then play.

Lovely to be see it.

Would anyone like to comment on the choice of tunes. Many of the tunes are ones that I can't recall having heard before no one's that I would not be be too familiar with. Had a similar situation at a session that might be called an 'elite' session going on at Irish music festival. The elite session seemed to have mostly tunes that were not familiar or can't recall having heard before .
