"Blow the Timber" is a multi-volume project that explores various styles of the wooden flute playing in European traditional music.

The wooden flute also referred to as "Irish flute", is widely played in various musical traditions beyond Ireland. This is because the flute is the most suitable instrument for giving ‘voice’ to traditional music.

In Volume 1, you will be introduced to the rich musical traditions of Wales, Brittany, and Ireland, as played and explained by leading virtuosos from each region: Ceri Rhys Matthews, Jean-Michel Veillon, and Kevin Ryan.

Included in this book are 65 minutes of exclusive, downloadable audio files. Over in the score section, you can view detailed transcriptions of simplified melodies with ornamentations and variations.

Although this book is written in Japanese, the audio and scores will help your understanding of the music.

Size: A4, 80 pages
65 minutes of downloadable audio files.
US $25.00
