Tell us something.: I've been making whistles since 2010 in my tiny workshop at my home. I've been playing whistle since teenage times.

The McGee gets repadded - there's always more life in an old flute!

Best wishes for the job at hand and for a speedy return to active playfulness!

Now thinking of anyone messing with my knees gives me the horrors, so you have my fullest sympathy, Terry!

Since you will be off your feet for a while, I figured I should get off my backside and dig up that thesis I've been threatening to send for 5 or 6 years......(too bad it was for closed end though...)

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Heh heh, I remember when I was young and going to catholic schools being shown a crucifix allegedly containing a "holy relic". Do you not think I might be regarded a little pre-emptive including holy relics in my flutes before my Beatification is formally announced?

Have a speedy recovery!
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')
