... anyway, on the topic: "The Roaring Barmaid" - simple tune on whistle, too much for me on flute just yet, drives guitarists crazy.

Right. The song Down By the Sally Gardens (a setting of the poem by W.B. Yeats) is an entirely different thing than the reel The Sally Gardens.
