Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

I think we might have been talking about two different "Sally Gardens" ...

... anyway, on the topic: "The Roaring Barmaid" - simple tune on whistle, too much for me on flute just yet, drives guitarists crazy. :twisted:

Right. The song Down By the Sally Gardens (a setting of the poem by W.B. Yeats) is an entirely different thing than the reel The Sally Gardens.
