Tell us something.: I restore 19th century flutes, specializing in Rudall & Rose, and early American flutes. I occasionally make new flutes. Been at it for about 15 years.

Thanks!

Tell us something.: I play the first flute Jon Cochran ever made but haven't been very active on the board the last 9-10 years. Life happens I guess...I owned a keyed M&E flute for a while and I kind of miss it.

I figured you had a pic. :)

Hmmm... pins and flat pad cups.

Is that a plate on the short F or is that just dirt?
The poor thing was a mess when I got it, had to rebuild the foot socket and reattach the pins there. There was also a huge gouge in the upper section, that was filled. The flute plays surprisingly well, and has found a nice home at Oxford.
Yes...it was a bit stressful getting it over here and I was shocked to find that the tupperware you gave me split on the flight over...but I guess the 50% humidity makes the seal not as important as it does in the LA. Gosh, I love the flutes I have....thanks again Jon.

Ach, I never saw this post. The address I sent you in april is now my old address (I have moved since then) - but I'm in the same town, so I trust the post system will find me... Can't wait :-)

Who is next on the list? I've had the flute for a couple of weeks now (thank you Jon for this great opportunity) - and someone else is looking forward to giving it a try, I'm sure :)

I guess we better send it to Marin, he has been waiting so long...

Hello! I would like to try that flute, if I'm still in time. Is there anybody after Marin on the list?

Hugs,
Marta
