- Tell us something.: Been pickin' at the flute for decades. Now retired, I am spending more time at it. Not a natural musician but I enjoy it. and so do my dogs. I joined C&F in 2013 but had lurked for a long time before that.

Terry McGee
We are all painfully aware of the terrible fires in Australia. On a map in our Canadian media I saw that fires were raging along the west coast where I believe Terry had retired to some years back. I immediately wondered how our old friend is faring and whether his property is in danger. Does anyone have any news of him? Or perhaps Terry himself could reassure us that he is okay. Our thoughts go out to all C&F-ers in Australia

Re: Terry McGee
I don't have direct news, but I did notice that this Australian bushfire website reporting a fire
currently burning (in the last 12 hours) just a few hundred meters from the postal address
Terry lists on his website. I hope it is contained, or at least moving in the right direction!

Here is an article about the fires in Malua Bay, where Terry lives.

I am keeping him, his family, and his neighbors in my thoughts. I had a wonderful experience working with him on a flute project a few years back. He is a fine gentleman with a wonderful creative and inquiring mind.

Hi all
We're safe, but, to use Milligans immortal phrase , cut off from the rest of the world by modern communications. Hoping to have power and comms back soon and will catch up. Great to know there is still a world out there. Somewhere....

The news accounts here in the states make it look pretty terrifying. Good luck Australia
