Grinter 8 keyed flute, Cocus Wood

Post by Yann Manche »

The flute is in perfect condition, it has an additionnal head made by a french great maker especially for this flute.
You can listen to the flute on this website on the album black album COMAS because the flute was played by Sylvain Barou (french flute player) http://www.comasmusic.com/comas/music.html.

Some pictures : https://myspace.com/yannmanche/photos

Of course an hand-made wooden case comes with it.

The flute has already been tried by Kevin Crawford who told me it was the best Grinter he has ever blown.

It has been totally viewed by Grinter one year ago and it works perfectly.

From Michael Grinter today, these flute new have a waiting list of 18 months and cost €4600. I'll ask 3500 euros + postage cost.

Yann

Original poster must be too busy to update the thread but this flute has been sold. He didn't respond to PMs through this site but finally responded to a contact through his own website.

I am very sorry to say that Yann passed away shortly after he has posted his message for selling the Grinter. We received word a few weeks ago. There has been a little information on the french whistleboard and here was a link announcing his funeral

We did not know Yann for long but from how I understood he was very influencial for the Irish flute in France and he was a long time member of the Chiffboard, most likely better known on the flute forum as a contributor. We are happy to have some of his music.

Our condolences are with his wife, children and people who knew and loved him.
