Re: Kornog´s first recording
OK, I humbly stand corrected - they've made a hash out of it. My mistake for trying to have a go at it at 4 in the morning. Doesn't help that Amazon has different CD covers, either.

Re: Kornog´s first recording
Please don´t worry. This is not an school exam! Everybody he try to get information about this kind of stuff, but sometimes is confusing.
Look that the cover CD that appears is Amazon is not right neither the track list. It sounds like a strategic and comercial trick. You know. Am I too bad for thinking something like that?

Now we're getting somewhere. It turns out "Excalibur" is a typo and it's really "Escalibur."
Here's a photo of the cover and track listing:

Re: Kornog´s first recording
I would highly recommand this website for those curious about breton music. Almost everything that has ever been recorded in Britanny (and that would mean A LOT) is listed.smoro wrote:In this Website you can listen 30 seconds of each track

- Tell us something.: It is a beautiful day in the piedmont for playing a favorite boxwood simple-system flute. Is that enough typing to get to 100 characters?? Maybe not, just to make sure here is a bit more stuff from the keyboard ...

Re: Kornog´s first recording
Thanks to all for contributing to an excellent thread.
I went to a dance workshop in the early 80s for Breton music and dance, lots of An Dro and Hanter Dro. It was great. I bought a bunch of music including the first Kornog album and loved it, I still have the 3rd album in vinyl. Somewhere the first album went missing, so I ordered a replacement CD a few years ago. It didn't fit with what I remembered, now this tread tells me the reason. I can't read titles, the Kor-rong went right by recognition into the brain as Kornog. What marketing genius......
Well anyway, great music,
Lewis

Re: Kornog´s first recording
I've got Premiere... and it seems from the sound clips of the original Kornog album that about half the material is the same.

Re: Kornog´s first recording
You are right, but it would be great for Kornog fans to get the other half of the track not in Premiere!
