Very beautifully done.ImNotIrish wrote:New file posted. Comments welcome. These tunes are played on an original R&R with an Olwell hj.

I do have one thought on the slow song. You may try a little different effect when you vibrato on the G note. Try holding the G for a bit... then starting a light vibrato that builds. Often a singer's vibrato doesn't start right away (some do, of course). The piece is so nicely done, but this may soften that "corner" a bit.

Very inspiring to hear everyone's playing.
I recently bought a Zoom H4 portable recorder and here are my first recordings with it.
The New Broom + Tara Diamond's Barndance
I got these from June McCormack's 'Fliuit' book. Only flute, no additives.
The Piper's Chair (jig)
Princess Royal (Carolan)
First attempt at using the Zoom H4's very cool 4-track mode.
That's also me plucking some strings. Here I did do some editing afterwards (EQ, Verb etc)
cheers,
Jeroen

Jeroen,
Lovely playing. Simple and heartfelt.
Priness Royal is especially lovely.
Thanks

The struggle in Palestine is an American war, waged from Israel, America's most heavily armed foreign base and client state. We don't think of the war in such terms. Its assigned role has been clear: the destruction of Arab culture and nationalism.

I think this is a great idea. Hats off to everyone that has contributed, well done to cocus for starting it.
I should dust down my Seery flute and give it a go....but then again...haha...... maybe not just yet.
This would be a great thread for the uilleann pipers' forum

Thanks all for the great tunes and the kind comments.
This has really refreshed my FipandChiffle experience for me (after more than 6 years on the forum )
