I like the way the first row moves with the notes. They're feeling it!

Seems like a sure recipe for rapid hearing loss--OUCH! Like too many whistles at a session :swear:

Other than that, fine playing.

OK

David put a flute band up so I figured I could get away with putting a clip of the Fife and Drum Corps that I am a member of (The Old Guard). I use to play the snare drum but now I am one of three Drum Majors. Hope you like.

Josh,

Am I missing something? I don't see the link to the Fife and Drum corps. Is it in your signature or in the post? Looking forward to seeing it.

Josh,

Two words for the The Old F&D: BAD and ASS (maybe that's one word: BADASS). Regardless, it was worth the wait.

Does one need extensive marching band experience to get into this group? Just curious.

Not really, but you need to pass a coule of things to get in.

1) first you need to be selected in a video tape round to weed the weaker applicants.
2) Come down to DC for a formal audition( Two prepared pieces of your choice/ two prepared pieces of our choice/ sight reading test/ marching test and a formal interview).
3) Meet all requirements to enlist in the U.S. Millitary.
4) Be able to obtain a White House security clearance.

These days, most people in the Corps have at least a BA in music performance or education. Some have Masters and a few have or are currently working on their Doctorates. There are also a few of us that don't have degrees in music but were able to pass the audition anyway :D We are few but proud :)

It's a great job that combines to things that I love. Music and my service to my country. :)

I want to put a clapping smilie and a saluting smilie, but since they are not available, I sit here saluting and clapping. Thank you for both your service and your music.
