Smallpipe Reeds

Is there a premium smallpipe chanter reed available. There are lots of opinions out there. They will be for a Duncan Soutar mouthblown set.
He isn't so keen on replies.

The standard answer is that it is always best to get it straight from your sets' maker. Obviously that's not working, so your next best bet here in the States is Chris Apps. He may want you to send you the chanter so he can better match it, but he does great work.

[Thread revival. - Mod]

I am using a Shaw reed, together with a Fred Morrison/McCallum chanter.
I have been trying a few different Smallpipe reeds over the years, and I have had the best results with Shaw.
Playing music since 2006
Whistle and different sets of bagpipes.
