For Sale: Castagnari Ciacy Diatonic Button Accordion BC MM 23 8
I am selling a Castagnari Ciacy Button Accordion. It is swing-tuned in B/C. I am asking $1,675. I am open to reasonable offers. This is an older model, made about 2000. 23 button keyboard. Very little played and in as-new condition. Comes in a hard case with straps that are also like new. Please note: I am not totally sure if this is the exact model. The accordion was totally rebuilt by the Button Box about 20 years ago. Since then it has had probably fewer than twenty hours of playing. It is in perfect tune and sounds great.
I don’t know how the control shift knobs on the box work. The Cherry woodwork is lovely. The instrument has never been to a session, always kept in a hard case, and comes with a soft case as well. The bass chords are appropriate for Irish music but I don’t know the exact layout. I am not trying to be vague. I would keep it but I have shoulder issues that make it painful to support the box and so I have given up thoughts of learning to play it. The price of $1,675 includes shipping and insurance in the USA. It’s a lovely instrument, and well worth the price, but I am open to reasonable offers. If it does not suit I will refund full price less shipping expense.
