I voted yes, because it's more fun that way. Plus, when I had kids in middle school, I had to do a "book talk" (which means you get a handful of delinquents for 45 minutes who, theoretically, have read the book on which you are now leading a discussion) about a book called Loch which was about a kid named "Loch" after Loch Ness. And Loch gets messed up with some critters who turn out to live in Lake Champlain, actually, one of whom bites a guy's feet off. So, how could I not believe?

I thought the story had a surprising and sweet angle to it that law enforcement wanted to protect Nessie. I wondered whether the law enforcement officer just didn't want to see anything or anyone hurt or if he had a bone to pick with the big game hunter.
