What do you do with crystalized honey??
I have a jar of honey and it has crystalized; doesn't pour from the jar, etc. Anyone know how to make it useable again?? Seems a waste to just throw it away.

Leave it in the jar and put it in a saucepan of water over low heat until the crystals melt. (I like to take the lid off the jar, although I doubt there is a serious pressure build up.)
I've read you can microwave it, too, but I;ve never tried that.

I've never had much luck with the microwave, but the saucepan of water method's worked well for me in the past.gonzo914 wrote:Leave it in the jar and put it in a saucepan of water over low heat until the crystals melt. I microwave mine. It doesn't take long, so keep an eye on it and take it out to stir frequently. When it's just a bit in the bottom of the honey bear, 15 seconds does the trick. If it was a more substantial quantity, I'd try 30-second increments. You want to melt the crystals but not cook the honey.

I usually have a LOT of honey, so putting it into water doesn't always work well for me. I usually take it out of the jar completely and put it all into the saucepan. You have to keep it on low, temperature wise, though, and watch it like a hawk because it will boil over if you leave it for too long on too high of heat. But it works like a charm every time
