Twistin' words, y'are. Mna na hÉireann are fine when sung. Just ask Barry Lyndon. But drown them in reverb and soak them in synth string patches, add some trite idiomatic balderdash, and it is too much even for the pretty pictures to balance.

Unfortunately I will be spending St Patrick's Day freezin' my ---- off marching in Roanoke's parade. After temps into the seventies the forcast for Sat is a high of 42 and rain maybe. Waaaahhhh. I've done this parade when it was in the 20s and that was just plain miserable-wore my "longhandles" under my kilt and kilt hose that day. I guess it'll take more Irish coffees to warm us all up.

You're all wrong, actually. Patrick was most likely a Romanized Briton who spoke an early form of Welsh.
