I thought they were called Vapourisers (or Vaporisers or Vaporizers) but apparently not.

They are called "Oil Burners" even though they don't burn the oil (if you do it properly).

If you call them "Aromatherapy Oil Burners" there might be less confusion.

There are called "curtain burners," or as the fire investigators would say it -- "accelerants."
