At first I thought it was a Harmonium, but without a picture of the keyboard... now though I'm not so sure!

I'd say it's a sruti box. This is a type of harmonium that has no keyboard: it just plays a drone for indian music accompaniment.

But there are members who know probably more than me about that :)

Could someone be bucking to become the Undisputed King of Sruti Journalism?

Is there no limit to this man's ambtion?

Yeah. What I dig about it...it's not so much an instrument that fits in a suitcase. It's an instrument that IS a suitcase.

If you get it, I want a review :D

And I want to try it when I eventually get back to Alabama.

Jack of all trades, master of none? That describes a lot of us on this forum, actually. :P

I like how the seller spelled "instrucment" over and over.

Dale, when you win the sruti box on ebay, maybe you would be agreeable to a duet with my Hugh Tracey tenor kalimba, which I know that you also collect. If I remember correctly, when I drove through Alabama this summer, the state license plate has a reference to a song about stars, assuming, of course, that everyone should be familiar with that tune. Instead, let me suggest a song with more universal appeal, namely "Back Home Again in Indiana", not wanting to be partial or anything.

I don't know what that thing is, but it's got bowels on both sides. Ewww!
