It's been fun...

Post by Darwin »

For a variety of reasons, my wife's worsening condition and the need to work more and goof off here less, in particular, I figured I'd make my 2000th post my last for a while.

I've learned a lot here and come to know some cool and interesting folks--and lots of mighty nice ones, but I'm a bit burned out on the Pub side, and I already know more about whistles than I can possibly put into practice over the next five years, so I don't really mind going. I hope I've contributed a little bit to the whistle side of things, perhaps helping some newbies as I was helped.

I'll try to stay away completely, since I'm so weak-willed. However, if anyone ever feels the urge to send me an email or a pm, please do. I'll also pm those who have indicated an interest in trading a low D whistle for my Sweetheart maple flute.

Thanks to all for everything.

Later.
Mike Wright

Well that's very sad news Darwin.
I, as have many others, have taken great delight in your wise and witty postings and been awestruck by your first class photography.I hope that the future is kind to you and your family and that you will always remember that here in our little pub, there will always be a chair with your name on it.

Take care Bro, you will be greatly missed in these parts.

Congrats on the 2K as well

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Be well, a chara. Take care of what you need to do, and know you'll always be welcome back if and when you can.

Are you sure you have to do this, Darwin? I'll twice as ignorant w/o your informative contributions. You might have a weak will, but consider this: it would be a sin for you to stop posting completely.

Have a good walk throughout life, and may you and yours be well. :)

Couldn't you just come in once a week or so and give us your take on a few things?

Anyway, I'm with the others who said, you do what you feel is best.

I'll say farewell, not goodbye. To those who only read his posts, I have had the pleasure to meet Darwin in the flesh. A sweet fellow, a good guy.
Best to ya, man!
How do you prepare for the end of the world?
