I may have spoken too soon, my local paper gave it a good rating, but it seems as though everyone else thought it was confusing and Reeves is a goof.

Not that I use movie reviews as a way of chosing what I see and don't see.

I heard it was not very good. It's been raining alot here so I've rented a few dvds lately. Thought The Notebook, The Door In the Floor, and Harold and Kumar Go to Whitecastle were all pretty good. The last one was very funny but you may have to appreciate the Up In Smoke genre to think so.

Brian, You didn't like The Notebook I'm taking it! I think I probably know why; a little too shmaltzy for you maybe. It was hard to watch it without at times thinking 'oh man' but overall I thought it was pretty good. I see where overall viewer reviews have it rated at four and a half stars out of five so if that counts for anything..., (which it doesn't necessarily, popular opinion does often...what's the word... yea)
It's funny about movies- my neighbors have totally different taste in movies than I do; they think some Ben Afflack flick where he's running around in a pleather suit playing some super-hero is as good as it gets where I don't.
Anyway, I rented The Notebook and Harold and Kumar on the same day and liked them both.
Sorry though, didn't mean to upset you. -mike

Actually, I haven't even seen it once.

My girlfriend, on the otherhand, is obsessed with it and it has scared me off. :)

I understand where you're coming from- sorry to be a bit of a wise guy!

It's not a bad flick, actually quite sad though and a tearjerker. I did have to give it a notch off because I thought it got a little campy. -mike
