Mardi Gras Anyone???

Post by missy »

Gonna be spending the weekend baking King Cakes.
Got my beads all ready (we went to 6 parades last weekend in Nawlins and brought home a ton of them!).
Gonna cook up some jambalya with andoile.
There's a market here in Ohio that actually carries Dixie Blackened Voodoo beer, so will be making a run up there.

Anyone else ready to:
"Laissez Faire Les Bonne Temp Roulez"???

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

We have a friend in LA, as we call it. Her family runs a bakery and sends us a king cake every year. We used to live in New Iberia and go Mardi Gras in Lafayette. Not as big as New Orleans but a good party. And more survivable. Still managed to lose a camera one time. Let the good times roll, cher.

Dixie beer and crawfish......chank a chank

UPS just delivered our king cake straight from Louisiana. Half is blueberry cream cheese and half is raspberry cream cheese. It is sooo good. :D

Oh, we get ours from New Orleans! A good friend of ours sends one to us every year. We didn't get the fruity one this year though. And I didn't get the baby, so no queen for the day (or principessa for that matter) for me this year :P
