Accordionist John Whelan composed a reel circa 2000 called the "Trial of Jim Kelly". I'm trying to find online any details about the back story, bits and pieces of which I've heard: Jim Kelly was a festival promoter who stiffed the musicians at a particular festival in the US. Whelan and some others filed criminal charges and Kelly was convicted and went to jail.

I've looked at newspapers.com and the internet generally and can't find anything.
