Well, what if the storm is on the way to you? I've seen a rainbow while getting hit by hail just before having the tornado sirens go off. However the cat got loose, found a whole ham in the debris of a neighbor's house after the tornado hit and she dragged the whole thing home, pretty big ham actually so I guess it's not really one of those little thingsPammy wrote:stop it stop it stop it - it's horrid

Once, outside my kitchen window, there was a bunny taking a dust bath.

Re: Little things
When I was visiting my brother in July, there was a porcupine on the porch, right outside the front door. Did you know that porcupines let out a world of stink when they're stressed? Evidently quills aren't enough.

Mmmmmmm...that's like a little bit of heaven right there. Seriously, I am salivating at just the thought of opening a new jar of peanut butter.

We are dark enough, but I didn't stay up to watch.

Re: Little things
Yup. Antelope jack rabbits in the Sonoran desert make large group wallows the size of a small bedroom. I think it helps cool them as do their big radiator ears.
-They're skittish as befits prey avoiding a lunch date with coyote, bobcat, raptor, rattlesnake or occasional cougar, and their size is impressive seen close up.
(not as large, honestly as depicted in the unexciting TV chestnut "Night Of The Lepus")

A number of animal species take dust baths for a whole host of reasons, including trying not to be a host, one of the little things they enjoy.
