Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

I also got hydrophobic sand. Does anybody have any clue as to what I'm supposed to do with it?

My wife gave me some plastic fish that I bought myself (for myself) when we went to the beach this past summer.

Mutey...I just tried to picture you in real-life action. It was hard.

It's in four separate little sachets - very bright colours - green, blue, orange and purple.

I think that I am the one that gives the strangest presents to my family. This year I gave my mom Strawberry Daifuku. 50/50 chance she will love it or hate it. Not strange, but to a midwestern woman, it might be off in texture, and odd.

Er ... right. Thanks Mike. That actually looks like more fun than I had imagined. I really should have a go in a bit ...

Even I am at a loss as to what to do with the waterproof sand other than to re-gift.

The liquid is supposed to do strange things when the weather changes. So far the crystals have all been at the bottom. It's supposed to snow tonight and rain for the next couple of days, so we'll see if this thing actually works.
I was actually hoping to get one of those (Amazon has a couple of very inexpensive versions) but didn't :(
Looks like I'll have to order one for myself.
Got wood?

Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow creeps in this petty pace from day to day ...

So?

Say, Ben ... helicopter, magic sand ... Do you think your kids could put me on their Christmas list, too? I'd like a miniature trebuchet. :P

Miniature trebouchet? Would that be one that was scaled down to knock down the typical suburban home? I just dismantled ours.
