I don't think Rob & Bob do stump removal. It's not listed on their sign, anyway.Cynth wrote:I'm definitely stumped.

Looks fine to me.
Nice little pic. It captures the poignancy and mood of the moment.
A moment of the photographers time, a glimpse into the photographers humour, an insight into what was in that mind at that moment.
The poetry of the moment, the grin on the smiling face as the photographer captures that moment.
The next moment is another crack completely.
The last moment is captured, forever.
Slan,
D.

I think we are talking just, as opposed to unjust, rather than just in the sense of only.emmline wrote:Rob and Bob are doing some work a couple houses down from me, and they've prominently posted this sign at the street corner.

OK, here's my take on it: That sign speaks well for its designers.
You'll notice the unaffected and sensible use of black-and-white, the well-balanced layout (neat margins! centered!), legible lettering, the charming, yet attention-getting, and the use of a ZAP! balloon.
These aren't just any siding experts . . . they're trustworthy and comfortable experts who'll take time to help you out with all those other little things that go alone with siding . . . like gutters and drains. They're not going to leave you in the lurch with brand-new siding getting leaked on by moldy leaf litter. They're going to take just as good care of your home as they did of this sign, that's for sure!
They are sure to clean up after themselves, as evidenced by the fact that this sign is neatly backed up to a frame of verdant green shrubbery (very artistic!) and on its very own post . . . as opposed to nailed in slovenly and sociopathological style on some telephone pole.
It's very enterprising of them to use caulk to schlorp (what a wonderful word!) the sign onto the stick. It says a lot for the resourcefulness which they'll bring to your siding project.
Not only that, but they're licensed!

It's a clear representation of angst and conflict in modern society. The dichotomy of craftsmanship and art over mass production and higher profit.
The siding represents the walls we build to insulate ourselves from society. The windows are viewports into our inner selves and our struggle to bring ourselves out of our gutters. We can, through careful self examination, clean the gutters of our lives and provide service to others and repair broken lives.

I'm no longer trying a new posting paradigm
