And there's the shame of it.

I don't care for nails of any size, but I could go on about carriage bolts for hours.

I'm 53 years old, and besides owning every Irish Rovers record I've been able to get my hands on over the last 40 years (pictures at http://home.att.net/~charlene.emerson/scrapbook.html), I also own quite a few records by Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond.

I own a Phil Coulter CD. In my defense, I have been trying to give it away.

Also, when the mood takes me, I really like "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler. (I can't believe I had the courage to write that. Confession is so liberating... I hope.)

I have all the albums put out by AfroCelt Sound System and play them a couple of times a week.
Hey, it helps me get the housework done :D

FWIW Ronan Browne was their piper for a while. So there. :P

There, there Bloomfield. It'll be OK.

On the first mix cd I burned, a few years ago, one of the tracks is "Is She Really Going Out With Him" by Joe Jackson.
The fact that I mostly skip over that track now is no absolution.
No, you are absolved of this. But, I favor the Joe Jackson song "Steppin' Out."
Be My Number Two was the one I remember from JJ.

About half my life ago I shared a flat with two other guys for a year on university placement. I was the last one to leave when we moved out, and that morning two cassette tapes were delivered from the then-equivalent of Amazon. I took them with me.

One was Picture Book by Simply Red, the other was Bananarama's Greatest Hits.

But it's duct tape that holds the universe together. :D

As for musical confessions, my roommate freshman year in college had the entire works of John Denver (on vinyl -- this was pre-CD era) and played them almost constantly. I may not be able to dredge up all the words on my own, but I'm sure I could still sing along with any pre-1980 John Denver song someone started -- they are all lodged somewhere deep in my brain.

The confession part is that I don't really mind. In fact, I like most John Denver songs.
ICE JAM: "dam" good music that won't leave you cold. Check out our CD at http://cdbaby.com/cd/icejam

I once had a large John Denver LP collection, which I've since replaced with CDs. He's my favorite singer/songwriter, and I don't care who knows. :)

Confession: I have a "modern a cappella" compilation CD, and one of my favorite songs on it is an a cappella version of "Walk Like An Egyptian" by the Bangles.
Giles: "We few, we happy few."
Spike: "We band of buggered."
