Color Vision Test

Post by Doug_Tipple »

I found this online site to test for color vision.
See if you can see the numbers in the field of colored dots.

I had to look very carefully and closely at that last one. I couldn't really tell if it was a 37 or a 39, even with my glasses on. I got all the others, though. I'm relieved, because sometimes I feel like my color vision is deteriorating. There is some color blindness on my mother's side, possibly as a result of too much inbreeding in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and I would encourage anyone who has color blindness in their family to see their eye doctor or just take this test.

That last one is a real puzzler.

I had to get real close to my monitor to finally see it.

Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

Wow. I got the last one wrong, too. I've never had any trouble with color vision before. I wonder how legit this is?

The last number was 42. Just so obvious.

Most men are colour-blind to some extent. It was failing a test very much like this that prevented me from getting into a very lucrative career in the electronics industry. They said I wouldn't be able to tell the different colour-coded bundles of wires apart.

color DEFICIENT is VERY different than being color blind. I believe the last frame demonstrates this most effectively.

I was sort of expecting the screaming scary face. These "tests" or "puzzles" often do that sort of thing. Sigh.

Not only is my colour vision OK but apparently I'm not deaf either.
