I find this news story really incredible. Scientists have "just" discovered that our bones make a hormone called osteocalcin that regulates sugar and fat. They are working now to see if this is the cure for type 2 diabetes.

“It is very exciting conceptually because it's a new function for an organ,” senior author Dr. Gerard Karsenty said Thursday from La Eaule, France, where he was vacationing. “It's also very exciting potentially from a medical point of view because it could be a treatment for Type 2 diabetes.”
If you are already diabetic, or like me, recently diagnosed as borderline diabetic, this is extremely exciting news, but it boggles my mind how they could have missed something this important for all these years.

I'd rather be atop the foothills than beneath them.
interesting djm - I have a HUGE genetic history of diabetes in my family - both grandmothers and my dad had type II, plus I was gestational during both pregnancies. I still have trouble with sugar and carb regulation, and so does Noah.

on our grade school school bus we pinched the other person. and laughed our tushies off.
two other favorites were:
1. did you have cake for lunch? (wait for answer, it doesn't matter.) because you face sure looks crumby.
2. is your face hurting you? (again, wait for answer) because it's killing me.
Rose tint my world. Keep me safe from my trouble and pain. 白飞梦
That's exciting news. I think that the human body probably holds a lot more amazing discoveries. It's such a marvelous creation that it doesn't surprise me that there's still a lot about it that medicine/science doesn't yet know.

The punchline is:
Squeeze her t**s!!
(Sorry for the crude humor, but I could't resist)
Tits are so small...if you squeeze them you might kill them.
