I think Alan's voice sounds a little bit like Kermit the Frog (really--listen to it again), but in a really good way.
And I'm waiting to see what Moon has to say, since the song was obviously sung to her.

I would expect this to take its place prominently on the Clips and Snips archive (certainly better than some of the stuff there).

Mmmmmmmmmmm...
That's me, melting.
If someone serenaded me like that, I'd follow them anywhere.

Rainbow Connection for an encore? Yes, really...that would be fun.

Now if we can just get him to sing "The Rainbow Connection" he and Jonny will be long lost twins.
Alan does have a nice Kermit-like voice. I love Kermit. *ribbit*

Alan is a fine record producer. He and Moon produced a great Christmas CD, a couple of years back, featuring various folks from the chatroom.
Not only that, the CD demonstrates he has a fine announcer voice. Perhaps it comes from years in amateur radio.
Others have mentioned Alan's modesty and his tolerance, but I'd also mention as positive, his diverse musical knowledge and interests, and his ability to cheat at Jeopardy.
