Get Smart!

Post by TomB »

Don Adams, Agent 86 of Get Smart fame, died yesterday. I believe he was 82 years old.

I used to watch that show growing up. I found Agent 99 to be, um, hot!

...heard about it on NPR this morning...it's really sad. The comedy world has lost a great one. I can remember watching the series on cable (wow, and that was when cable was the big thing!!) when I was a lad.
Does anyone remember the made-for-TV Get Smart movie?

Yep. Get Smart was silly fun. Unfortunately he went on to do this short-lived thing called Don Adams' Screen Test where audience volunteers would recreated scenes from classic movies. Embarrassing, but I was in middle school.

I remember Get Smart - I loved it when I was a kid. Well played, that man!

Always sad when they pop off, but 82's a fair crack.

The bad guys were KAOS and the good guys were KONTROL.
I always liked that, especially as we moved into the 80's with Caos theory and all that.

A memorable line from one of the shows-"Why, 99, you know we have to murder and kill and destroy in order to preserve everything that's good in the world."
