Isn't the 51st birthday the one when the celebrant is supposed to buy a whistle for everyone on the board?

No, that's the 151st. The 51st is the one where everyone on the Boards sends the birthday person one bottle of their favorite alcoholic beverage.

Well, okay. But I won't know whether it's my favorite until after I've drunk the whole bottle, so you'll have to make do with recycled...

I've had enough experience drinking things that could pass for recycled in my time- don't forget, I spent 20 years in the Navy before my current life. :P

OK, I guess if you won't send me a bottle, I'll have to settle for everyone telling me what their favorite is, and I can start finding them on my own.

In your past life? Was Tom Cruise in the Navy with you?

Well, no, but we did go on "cruises" when we were stationed on ships, and my name is Tom- Hey, wait a minute, could it be?? Nah, I don't know Nicole. :boggle: :-? :D :o

You sure, there Tom? I mean, if Cruise had a past life, so did she....I mean hell, she went looking for you in this life and screwed up big time! :D

When I saw the title of this thread "Tom B 51" I thought it was about a
new bomber -- You know, like the B-29, the B-52, etc.

Now I see that Tom B turned 51. But judging from his 20 year stint in the
Navy and his admitted familiarity with bottles of uncertain vintage, I guess
my original thoughts may not have been too far off target. (I've been
bombed once or twice myself.) :D

Anyway, Happy Birthday, Tom. And may you have at least 51
more.
