That poor cat! Doesn't look too happy about it, does it? (Can't say I'd blame it.) How ever did they get the critter to hold still for the shaving? "Here kitty kitty, eat the tranquilizer, good kitty.... Electric shaver? No, it's just a nice soft brush, go to sleep there now, good kitty."

The bigger question is what was it that led to the cat being so drastically deprived of it's fur to begin with?

I love cats, but that one is definately not such a cutie pie with that fur cut and a look of "when I find out who did this to me, I'm going to scratch their eyes out" all over it's face.

Or you could title it "Idiopathic Sociopathy in Cat Groomers: A Case Study." This pathetic feline is suffering from the "lion cut." I didn't even know there were cat groomers until recently, but this cut is done to prevent matting, or something. More victims:

As someone who's done that- shaving down a cat- I can tell you that it is NO FUN. As a former dog groomer, I was the lucky

vet tech that got to do all the shave downs. The cats always had to be tranqulized- some got the whole nine yards of general anesthesia. This was always done because they had become so matted that it was a health concern. Their skin is VERY thin and hair very fine so it is much more difficult to shave down a cat than a dog,horse,etc. Actually, it's always been a pet peeve of mine that vets and techs are not taught how to properly handle clippers and do shavedowns. I've never seen one yet that could do it right and also not clipper burn/cut the animals.

I must say that whoever did the first cat pictured did a dagone first rate job!!!! The others look a bit rough.

Hey!!!! He is black and there would be not way I could get away with it with him.... no way! Besides I could never do this to a cat, look at these poor little fellows!!! o.k. I laughed as well but..... Only because I could not help it. just like a cat sitting in the house in front of the window watching birds and making funny noises to cope with their exitement .....
