Jimmy "J.J." "Dy-No-Mite" Walker used to do a bit about some of the lame answers you could see on Family Feude. Punctuated by the guessers family clapping and saying "good answer, good answer" no matted how stupid the person was
"Name a fruit you can squeeze" Buzz!
"Walnuts!"
"Good answer, Good answer"
"Name a color of m&m" Buzz!
(this was back before all the new colors)
"White"
"Good answer, Good answer"
I actually saw this one:
"Name something you collect"
Buzz!
"Oooh you should have waited til I read the whole question, but what is your answer?"
"Stamps!"
"Good answer, Good answer"
"Survey says?" BUUZZZZZ! zero
"Ok, now let me finish the question..."
"Name something you collect, on the beach"

There's and old Irish saying that says pretty much anything you want it to.

Reminds me of the amazing Bass-A-Matic from Dan Akroyd and the early Saturday Night Live clan. It was a hoot.Cees wrote:[
TROUT ice cream!! He blended up raw trout to a puree, mixed in milk and sugar, and dumped it in the soft-serve machine. I still cannot believe the judges ate it. (Oh, and there was a bit of decorative fried trout skin sticking out of the ice cream as a garnish.)

- Tell us something.: I play the first flute Jon Cochran ever made but haven't been very active on the board the last 9-10 years. Life happens I guess...I owned a keyed M&E flute for a while and I kind of miss it.

Plus, there's nothing like a gang of drunk Germans marching around the drinking establishment in what appears to be the Alpine equivalent of a conga line, singing "trink, trink, bruderlein trink..."Bloomfield wrote:... which is still about fifty trillion million dozen miles behind the Germans and the Belgians. When my wife and I were in Okinawa, Japan in November, we saw lots of different flavors of ice cream, but no seafood flavors. Our favorite was sweet potato. Of course, the sweet potatoes there are very different from here -- they're bright purple! Fun to look at as well as tasty! My wife also liked the green tea flavor.izzarina wrote:There's a place in Bar Harbor called Ben and Bill's Chocolate Emporium. They are famous for their Lobster ice cream. Me, too. Of course, the 'torch' response also made sense to me if yuou consider that some people still call a flashlight a 'torch'.Bloomfield wrote:This strikes me as perfectly intelligent and reasonable.Martin Milner wrote:Name a bird with a long neck - Naomi Campbell
I've been watching a lot of the "...Millionaire" program lately. I'm pretty much convinced that the contestants are doing it for a noble reason (money) but that the popularoty of quiz shows stems from an unhealthy desire on the part of the rest us to feel superior to the boobs actually missing (or needing help with) questions a four-year-old would be embarassed to miss.
