Fiona Brielle has arrived.
After a long day yesterday, including the care breaking down on the way to the hospital, we were rewarded by the entrance of our Granddaughter:
Fiona Brielle Dillon
Born July 9th, 2004 at 1:57 a.m.
She entered at 6 pounds 9.5 ounces, and 19 inches.
Mother (Rebecca) and child are doing great. We, her family, were with her for most of the labor providing support and encouragement. Her spirits were high and strong throughout the 23 hour and 57 minute labor. Laughter and joy abounded most of the day. The last half-hour of seriousness, was simpling getting down to business with only her beloved and the hospital staff attending. Peg and I were the first of the family to meet the wee lass, while her mom was gulping down a tuna fish sandwich and chicken noodle soup, swearing that Cherry Jello will never again be welcome sustenance in her house. So far, her only regret is that she missed the opportunity to cuss out Keith, the amazed father.
Fiona (light) Brielle (hill):
May she continue to be the little beacon
that draws us to rise above
and take in the broader view.
Several hours of heralding tunes were played in the hospital court yard and gardens through out the day and evening yesterday. Today shall see more of the same.

Thanks one and all for the kind word. T'was a great day and I'm sure it'll be a great weekend.
Margarite, I'll try to bring a bunch.
Sue, Few? hm... why wait, why shouldn't she learn a tune with her first word? Okay, Rebecca would give me the look if I tried. You know "The Look", she learned it well from her mom. So maybe we'll wait.
Photo's will have to wait a couple of days because my wife (family photo clicker) is somewhat technophobic; so no digital camera.
Thanks again,
