I gotta say, I've never been into the "pink" craze some women seem to have. Could be because I've never been into pink anyway. But it seems that according to them, Everything! Must! Be! Pink! I don't know if it's some need they feel to make everything "girly" (and in the case of some things, like firearms, I don't know if they feel they can't make the point that women can use/have/enjoy an object that is usually used mostly by men if it still resembles the traditionally-male version, or what) or if it's just going overboard on one's favorite color (I like blue a lot, but everything I own does not HAVE to be blue. Pink seems to be the only color that gets this treatment, at least as far as I've seen, on a mainstream basis). As I get older I don't hate it as a color quite so much as I used to (certain shades, anyway. This one is okay, but I'll pass on, say, "Barbie" pink and its ilk), but I'd still never buy anything pink lest I be lumped into the other group.

At any rate, this one would be a hard sell to me, even though I think the color's actually okay. If it were the only whistle available, I might consider going without. (but the same goes for orange!)

It's not just pink. It's BLACK and pink. That's a whole different message. It's got a dark side. This could well be a BDSM whistle. I mean... a pink whistle... there are only certain places where you could safely put that to your mouth. In Wiltshire I found that the Native American Flute I picked up that was shaped for the most part like a knobbly lump of driftwood, had a mouthpiece shaped like a

I agree with Jim.... In fact, "Really?" was my exact reaction too... and now I'm sitting here wondering if this picture might even be a breach of the terms of use on this site...

FWIW - I've never really cared for painted whistles in any color.

Our local (Edinburgh) music shop Scayles had window display a few months ago with an entire pink band - guitars, bass, ukulele, sax, flute, drumkit and music stands.
