Spend my money!!!
I am making a very difficult decision on how to spend birthday money. How would you spend $50 dollars on whistles?
I currently own:
-a mutilated sweettone (still plays, head is warped and discolored from an unsuccessful decapitation),
-a (red and shiny) howard low D,
-a plastic fife,
-a feadog (which I like a lot but badly needs a good cleaning...and I am afraid to try and remove the head because if I botch it as badly as my first attempt I will no longer have a normal high d.)
Right now I'm looking for cheap whistles I can have fun messing around with, without fear that I will end up with nothing I can play. I'm thinking I want a clark, another feadog, and maybe a generation? If I stay with the cheap ones I could probably buy one more...
Or should I a single slightly more expensive one?
...life is tough, isn't it?

...Truth be told I kind of want to play around with "improving," which is why I'm torn between getting a mid-range whistle, or a few more cheapies so I can mess around without ending up whistle-less!

- Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free - Location: Loren has left the building.

Doc's a class act. He probably would have done that even if you weren't named after an animal!Doc Jones wrote:Hi Ducky,

Fifty Bucks, huh...Go see Doc Jones at irishflutestore.com and buy either a Freeman Tweaked Generation D BlueTop or a Freeman Tweaked MellowDog...Both great whistles, and so different, I couldn't advise on one or the other. I play the Gen. Silver Bluetop in the car, and the MellowDog at home....as an attorney, I do not advocate whistle playing while driving....but I do advocate buying whistles from Doc Jones - he's fair, honest, and really nice.
