Simon Thouman's jig?

Post by brewerpaul »

Anyone have the music for this one? It's on the Battlefield Band album "Threads". Really cool "blue note" in the A part. I suppose I can figure it out, but the notes would be easier

No idea about the tune, sorry, but I think you'll find the guy's name (great concertina and whistle player?) is Simon Thoumire - which may get you further searching for it.
I respect people's privilege to hold their beliefs, whatever those may be (within reason), but respect the beliefs themselves? You gotta be kidding!

Thoumire it is, and that's the jig in a slightly different form. Thanks.

Tell us something.: I caught the trad bug listening to Liam O'Flynn. Started on whistle, then moved to pipes. Tricky Basmatis, but I love 'em.

Great John McCusker tune. I'd like to know if he's half-holing the Bb or if he's using a cross-fingering like X0XXXX. :)

I've been playing this tune for the last coupla days since I got the link and have been half holing the Bb. It's a natural since you can sort of slide up into it from the A.
