The ultifriend secret behing good low whistle playing

Post by Louigi Verona »

Low is an acronym. Of course you knew that.
What does it stand for? Lots Of Whiskey, yes.
So what's a low whistle? Yep, a lots-of-whiskey-whistle.
And what do you need to play it? Right.

ps: erm. I guess it's not a good idea to post this in the whistle forum... admins, move it to Off Topics please... though moving it to offtopics won't lessen the importance of the message

pps: on the other hand, it is an important discovery in the whistle world, isn't it?

ppps: I've done an extensive research. don't move this topic to Off Topics. There are threads which are much more silly than this =)

My spoken english improves also a lot after lots of whiskey, as my fluting does, and my ability to walk on a straight line. :lol:

I guess it all comes down to drinking the right beverage before playing an instrument. While low whistle by definition requires whiskey, an accordion may require smth else. I suggest that saxophone needs something decent, like coffee, while piano requires wine. Or champagne.

I'd say harmonica needs a beer and bodhrán - probably a milk shake.

Hm... some people may tend to say that whiskey will go here too. I'd personally suggest just pure water. And no smoking - good bagpipe player should have healthy lungs. On the other hand smoking calms the mind and every bagpipe player is confronted with tough stress situations everyday, that is, reaction of other people to his playing =)

What a horrific discrimination of bagpipers! I can't stand that!!! I will start a new political party - "Real Drinks for Bagpipers"!

<img src="http://img.combats.ru/i/smile/rupor.gif">

"Give Bagpipers Their Drinks!"
"F**k water! Beer is our mothermilk!"
"Want the piper to stop playing? Buy him a bottle of whiskey!"

<img src="http://img.combats.ru/i/smile/rupor.gif">

Bagpipers will make pickets, marches and demonstrations near governmental buildings, plaing their pipes! Lots of pipes! All playing different tunes at once!

No pasaran! United we will win!!!

Okay. Let's generalize then - bagpipers need alcohol. Fine. I don't play a bagpipe anyway =)
