Whistle pouches
Hi all,
the whistle pouch I got with my Overton low D fits Olwell Bamboos perfectly. And so I'd like to get another one. But I need one in size 'low C' as well...does anyone know where these can be found?
Cheers,
Eivind

Elvind,
Mike Burke sells whistle rolls and pouches on his website for low and high whistles. You can check out his selection and very reasonable prices at:

You will need to scroll down to the bottom of the page.
I hope this helps.

Go to your grandmother's house, or if your grandmother is long dead, go to the nearest old lady you can find, and tell her you have always admired her knitting work and that you would absolutely LOVE it if she could knit you a whistle pouch, and explain to her how big it should be, what color, etc.
It usually works for me. She might even give you some cookies and unsolicited advice (on everything), too.

- Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.
I recently purchased a multi-whistle case from the Goldie's and possibly have a low C pouch laying around I could sell you (contact email below). Barring that, and if you REALLLLLLY like the Overton style case they sell them individually as well.
Here is my new case:

The padded center section is rolled up to better show all of the whistles.
BTW Cran, that is a nice idea, especially if it is your own gramma or aunt. One note if you decide to do this, make sure it it sized just a tad small as knitting and crochet work tends to loosen up over time. You might also wash it in hot water to shrink it as well.

- Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

a couple of months back, someone put up a commercial post with really nice cases. I cannot remember who or when.

Somebody also posted an ad awhile back for single whistle pouches made from leather. (poor cows, I know) I got one for my low d and it is extremely nice. I totally forget who makes them. I'd like to get another for a different whistle.
