Good catch, Turkeyman. Hopefully they'll be available in the US soon, then.

WHOA is me - I just ordered one!!
The current thread on Feadogs has caused me to get mine out of the drawer and re-evaluate them.
Also checking the Shanna quay site reminded me of the whistles that I've already purchased from Steve- Doolins(1 & 2 piece),Clare 2 piece and Oak.Of course, these will all have to be played again in the name of whistle research.
The Feadog Pro's double plated nickel body does put me in mind of the Oak.
I'll report back when it arrives.

It'll be interesting to see how you like it, Kevin.

Sounds like an oak. Double nickel plating is something they've been doing for years as I iunderstand it. Same with the back top.

I also ordered one yesterday. I'm not sure how long it will take to get here, but I'll let you know.

Now they need to come out with a Bb feadog.
My opinion is stupid and wrong.

They're run by a Dogfather?
Don't tell me the Irish Mafia controls whistle production.
My opinion is stupid and wrong.

I've got one. It has the same mouthpiece as Mk III...or at least I sure can't see a difference. Double-plated, as already noted. I don't think it plays or sounds different from the regular Feadogs.

I came to the same conclusions. In my review, I barely note that the Pro is there, because the very marginal differences in play could be chalked up to whistle variation that happens from whistle to whistle in any process.
