Which high whistles ( higher than high D) do you own?
Most people started with high D whistle. Do you own high Eb, E, F and G whistles? If you own those whistles please name their makers? Thanks.

A Generation blue-top F whistle that I bought on a whim in some music store in San Diego. A wonderful instrument -- I got lucky and got one of those "good Generations" that you read so much about on this forum.
Also have a blue-top Generation Eb that's decent, but not nearly as good
as the F.
All that said, my Burke D whistles get about 98 % of my attention! I'm also eagerly awaiting a Sindt brass D.
Cheers

Hoover E, CPVC, tunable with a brass slide.
It has a very pretty, complex timbre. It's moderately quiet up through second-octave A (top three holes closed--would be G on a D whistle). It gets a little shriller on the next note, and quite a bit louder from there on up, so I mostly stick to tunes that don't go above second-octave A.
I like the sound well enough for slow airs that I'm sure I'll eventually get a C and maybe a D in the same model, and hope for a similar timbre.

I'm afraid that if I did, then someone would break into my house and steal them.
All kidding aside, I think that it can actually happen. How many of us have shown our extensive whistle collections, as well as other instruments, along with our names and the cities we're from? All it would take would be for someone to look up our addresses, from a phone directory from the local library, or finding them on the net, and just sit in wait for the opportune moment. No. Nobody is going to take my Shaw Eb, which is permanently parked in the upstairs bathroom. I just won't allow it. I never play it, but that's not the point.
