Dallas Skies
Hi, all. I apologize in advance if this question is either inappropriate or oft-asked. I've seen several references to an air called "Dallas Skies" written by a member of this community, but I haven't been able to find notation or a recording of it in any searches of this board. Is it out there? I'm really eager to hear/attempt to play it after reading so many good things about it. Thanks!

I have it on my own hard disk if you want it. Both versions, actually - the first one she posted and the 'cleaned-up' version that went up a day or two later.
Unfortunately, I have no way to post something that big here (2.6M) but if you e-mail me, I'll be glad to try and send it and see if your ISP will let it by.

"Dallas Skies" is a beautiful tune. It's become a favorite of mine since Avanutria first posted it after the Columbia disaster, and whenever I play it, people stop and say "that was just lovely!"
I know this is a longshot, but are you by any chance related to a guy named John Fredette in North Carolina? He was my boss when I worked in advertising there.

It's written in 3/4 time, but I play it as an air. To me, it's as haunting a tune as "Dallas Skies". I first heard it played by Sandy Jasper, of Elfsong Whistles.Jerry Freeman wrote:Duh. Larry, what is "Boolavogue"?
