FS: Gaelic Crossings

Post by Aodhan »

Hey all-

I am placing the site, Gaelic Crossings up for sale. It's currently in it's last few hours on eBay, however, I will extend the offer to the C&F community, and will also listen to reasonable requests.

Due to committments within the community and at work, I do not have the time to maintain or expand it as it should be. I had planned to add low end instruments, music and a dance store, but I simply don't have the time and/or the energy, and this does not look to change in the near future.

I believe that it is a very viable website, with a good future if it can be attended to.

Thanks, all!

Although I haven't yet posted there—too busy—I love the free reed forum. I'd *hate* to see this site disappear.

Yeah, I don't think I will sell it to someone that doesn't at least respect what he/she is getting. I really enjoy the site, but with everything else that is happening lately, it's become more of a burden than a joy. :(

We'll see what happens. It may end up not selling...

Aodhan, I'm stunned.

A quick rule-of-thumb way to value a business is (apparently) to take the amount of its annual sales. Approx. how much are we talking here?

From what I've heard, for a standard buisness company it's annual revenues * 5 years, and for a web company you're talking annual revenues * 3 years.
