Yes, the dripping flute end is quite familiar. I wonder if it has to do with weather as well as how we're blowing. I have noticed days I do drip and days I don't, and have occasionally warned session mates next to me.
Moisture coming out of the end of the whistle seems less common. Though I just may not have noticed it as much. I play more flute than whistle out in the world. (Or should I say played?) And seldom stare at the floor in front of a whistle player.
