Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Earlier today, my email was down as well. Still is, I think. Now *that's* isolation of a kind I'm not used to.

Cold turkey is not nice.

I suspect Rich did it deliberately so that we'd know what life without C&F would be like.

Heh, no, Rich did it deliberately because the new disk controller had issues. That, plus only working on it outside of work hours, plus having to back up and restore an awful lot of data dragged the upgrade a bit longer than expected. (Actually, Petro did it; Rich was down in Boston.)

(A safe rule of thumb for calculating intent: if the forums are unavailable, there's a very good chance my own email is unavailable too. )

But it shouldn't happen again for a long time, and things ought to be running a bit faster now.

Cheers,

-Rich
