Aha! I love suggesting names for babies! May I ask what surname the child will have? You need to consider the two together for balance! A good alliterative name carries a certain je ne sais quoi, I feel!
Maybe we can start a new thread, naming Jessie's baby?
If you can't name him after me, name him Ian (Anderson) or Seamus (Egan). Oh, wait, naming him Seamus would be the same as naming him after me in Gaelic!
Anyway, take care, and feel free to e-mail me anytime you like.
Names that immediately come to mind are Ian or Sean. Kathleen (Katy), Irene, Eileen. I'm not sure if all are true Irish, but they have a nice roll with Driscoll.
Seamus is a beautiful name, but unfortunately, there's the phonic similarity to some English words that aren't so positive. Most of my childhood, I didn't like the name, "Freeman." As I grew up, I came to sense that being called "Freeman" all my life had/has actually contributed something to my independent, free thinking personality, and I've come to appreciate the name. I would be inclined to agree with Dan on that one (not that I don't like the name Seamus, but I wouldn't choose it for the reason I said).

When we decided to get married, we thought we'd get a head start on trying to start a family, as we'd heard the average time it takes is 5 months for a fertile couple to conceive. It worked on the first try. As was already planned, we'll be married next month.
Congratulations! May you both always be suprised by joy, sustained by each other's love, and surrounded by caring friends and family.
