I'm open any weekend in July, and also June 19/20. But will Arleen be well enough by June 19 for Jerry to make it? Maybe we could give them a couple more weeks.Bloomfield wrote:OK timing:
Let's say June is out (wouldn't want to miss Paul), so weekends in July:
3/4: July 4th weekend, probably not good
10/11: Irish Arts Week in E Durham
17/18: Irish Arts Week/Festival in E Durham
24/25: Northeast Whistle Gathering?!?
That's not really early July anymore, but seems to be the best date unless we go for
June 19/20
Let's here some views on what weekend suits. Thanks

- Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free - Location: Loren has left the building.

OK-- if the July 24/25 weekend is good for most people, what about location? Someone care to start a poll thread, or perhaps a simple vote right here on this thread.
Long as we're at it, I vote for the Albany NY area. There are several nice state parks with covered pavillions, or a number of brewpubs that might have semi-private space large enough to hold us on a Sunday afternoon. In addition, there are many interesting things to see and do if people want to arrive the day before the event.
That said, I'm still willing to travel 2-3 hr to be a part of this, which from here includes NYC, Boston, Montreal, and anyplace in between!

I vote for Look Park, as it's halfway between here and Albany. Albany is doable but at the outer limits, as it's about a 3 hour drive from here, and if I came to Albany it would have to start early enough for me to get back at a reasonable hour (reasonable for a 39 year old, not a 19 year old!! ). Northampton would allow for more potential for early evening activities, in my case, at least.
