Re: Keeping Your Whistles Tidy?
I have been over a lot of these sites when looking for piping images and I am sort of aware of people doing artwork and having postcards in the shops here (there are a few more whose names I can't remember immediately but we'll get there, eventually) so there's that headstart.I must be a step and a half behind everyone with the searches.
The man himself, from yet another series of postcard art. It's taken from a photograph by Tony Kearns (and not very well either, if you ask me).
I have a handful of Paddy Moloney portraits here as well, from the pipers series, but I don't see them on-line at the minute.

I'm surprised that graphic designers/artists/photographers haven't utilized some of the newest softwares available to do more image manipulation. Maybe its just the whistle doesn't get the attention that other instruments seem to command.
If I was much younger I'd be all over that photoshop stuff! There's some nice imagery here so I hope it keeps coming.

A few nice ones there, not sure about the reedblown one though, or your man in the red tights.

And what's with the monkey? That keeps coming up. Is there a story or tradition behind that?

Re: Keeping Your Whistles Tidy?
The best part about searching for images is all the additional info I've come across. I have a long list of items to further research now. That will put a damper on my whistle practice time.
As for the red pants whistler... there were a series of similar images with differing poses. I laughed and just used the one.
No story for me with monkeys, but, the monkey on my back is these whistles... especially the wooden ones.
Be it known... there is an image named boy study and he is whistling with a tin whistle, but, that is all he had on. I had to skip that one and didn't go there! Not my thing.
