Tell us something.: I love Irish music! I am mostly a whistle player but would like to learn more about flutes. I also have a couple older whistles I'd like to sell and maybe pick up a bamboo flute to practice with.

Hello,
Just checking in from North Carolina. I was out tending the still and looking for men in canoes to terrorize.

Isn't Chris Laughlin from NH, or Mass? Loren lives in Massachusetts.

As emmline said I am in Maryland but I used to live in Rhode Island if that counts. In fact I bought my first whistle in Newport while living in RI. The St. Patricks day parade there is quite an occasion.

I've never met a whistle I didn't want.

Tell us why NC is the NASCAR capitol of the world?

I thought the canoe terrorizing was Louisiana.

Florida, here...though I call MN my 'home'. Nanohedron, Tommykleen and Davey are MN residents.

It's obvious where I'm from.
I think I may be the only active poster but I remember doing a Memberlist search once and thought I found a few others from the Treasure State...

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

I would have difficulty believing that. We had a C&F gathering of just SF Bay Area whistlers and had, what, 25-30 (with 5-10 cancelling at the last minute) from this small area alone!!!!

You could be right, but...........

I've been living in Illinois for a little more than half of my life, but still consider myself to be a Missourian. I know that I've seen others out there from the good states of Illinois and Missouri -- I just can't think of who they are off hand. Sorry.

Definitely a partial list. Surely I'm not the only California-born-and-bred poster?

Tony, didn't you say you were born here? Lance - your family's been in California for generations, right? Jack?

I fill the important role as the member from New Jersey. But that role may have to be filled by another member . . . since we're thinking of moving out of state. In fact, I may be Caj's neighbor . . . not close enough to hear each other whistling on the back porch, but still, CFers of the southern tier.
I'm looking forward to it. Change is good.
I sing the birdie tune
It makes the birdies swoon
It sends them to the moon
Just like a big balloon
